Musical Theatre Camp!

Spring Workshop:  April 22nd - 25th

The theme of the Spring Workshop will be exploring The Drowsy Chaperone and other musicals that take place in the 1920s. This will include learning and/or performing scenes, songs and dances from shows such as Thoroughly Modern Millie, My One and Only, The Boyfriend, No, No, Nanette, Show Boat, Chicago, and others. 
 
There will be a Master Class with a cast member from the National Tour of The Drowsy Chaperone. This show won the most 2006 Tony Awards' of any musical on Broadway and the New York Drama Critics' Circle and Drama Desk Award for BEST MUSICAL!

The format of the Summer Camp is similar to our Winter and Spring programs and includes technique classes in acting, voice and dance as well as Master Classes with Broadway professionals. We are thrilled to announce that one of the master class teachers this summer will be Bob Fitch who has done 27 Broadway shows!   He received Broadway's Burns-Mantle Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his villainous portrayal of Rooster Hannigan in the original Annie, receiving a Carbonell Nomination for both direction and portrayal.  He also staged the 1992 National Tour of Annie.
 
Students will also be escorted to a Reagle Players main stage production and will meet and have an opportunity for a Q & A with the cast.

Performance Dates:  Thursday July 31st at 7pm and Friday August 1st at 10am
Camp and Performance Location: Kennedy Middle School  655 Lexington St.
Ages: 8 - 16  Students will be divided into groups by age and level.
